I am currently back home for the summer, away from Aber, away from the sea.
I lay awake for hours last night, thinking about 'Aberlesquewyth'. About the acts who might be involved, the venue it could be held at, how we could decorate, the promotion it would take. It made me feel all fuzzy inside. And of course, at the moment, it is all but a dream...no acts have been finalised and i do not have a venue...this is all fabulous though, i plan to take my time organising this. If i rush into it...things may go wrong...as wrong as they can possibly go. And then i will end up letting all you lovely people down. And then i will probably cry...and we don't want that m'dears!
I love getting ideas like this...well, the fun part, where all my planning runs smoothly...hopefully it will all be excecuted perfectly...there are bound to be a few hiccups along they way...
I'm so excited!
IN OTHER (less 'Aberlesquewyth type) NEWS:
Rosie is off to london...well...in August but still-yay! Going to see the lovely miss Amanda Palmer of The Dresden Dolls (and special guests! eeek!)...i already have my outfit planned, o yes! And it's fabulous! And it's in August. Tee hee!
Anywho...I should probably go and join the land of the living...

Enchantment by the Sea...coming soon!
I am looking for Theater groups, Burlesque performers, living statues, visual artists, dancers, and all other sorts of performing artists to contribute to a vaudeville night in Aberystwyth. The aim is to make the experience for our audience more fun, authentic, interactive, and surreal. We seek out and encourage the expression of non-traditional arts, hoping the crowd goes home with the feeling of being immersed in a unique atmosphere....walking away feeling like they were a part of our show – not just watching one. We hope our audience will take away with them with a sense of awe and wonder. Most importantly, it’s a wonderful way to give a stage to a local performance artist in which to showcase his or her unconventional talents. Q: I’m shy, and don’t have any talent, but I want to be a part of it. Is there something I can do? A: First of all, we don’t believe that you don’t have any talent. You can dress beautifully and help us set up and decorate the venue, silently pass out flowers or other presents to people ....I would love to have some acts in the street. I would love to have people in costume handing out postcards and hanging up posters, and lots more lovely unexpected suprises!
